On this week’s episode of the SEO Vault, we discussed several updates related to search engines and advertising policies.
Firstly, Google has confirmed that the size of a webpage is not a direct ranking factor. However, larger page sizes can indirectly impact rankings through slower load times and poorer user experience. Brave Search Engine has also introduced a new feature that provides summaries of web pages in search results. This can benefit users by allowing them to scan results and potentially impact click-through rates quickly.
Google has also updated two ad policies, including the healthcare and medical policy, which now allows certified telemedicine providers to promote online pharmacies in Sweden under specific conditions. The reviews guidelines have also been updated to provide more context around what constitutes personal information and fake engagement, aimed at improving the authenticity of reviews on Google, & other SEO news (mentioned below.)
